Openshare is designed to be essentially ‘self explanatory’ so users would require little or no instruction to enable them to use the system. However, if required, there are training courses available that deal with particular aspects of general use, administration and application:

Openshare Users’ Course:

Duration:              ½ day   

Description:        How to use Openshare core functions: Browsing, Publishing, Modifying, Search etc., followed by a briefing on the add-on components: Document Profiler, openboard, Resource Kit and Workflow Manager.

Requirements:    Knowledge of web browsers

Openshare for Administrators:

Duration:              1 day    

Description:        How to install, configure, apply roles and security settings, and deploy openshare within an organisation. Followed by the administration tasks required for add-on modules such as Document Profiler, Workflow, Replica, openboard and Resource Kit.

Requirements:    Openshare Users’ Course. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows NT Administration would be an advantage.
