openshare has now a new feature: documents for publishing can be reviewed before going ‘live’ with the new Preview Feature.
Previously,
prior to publishing on the web, meticulous users had to imagine what the
resultant page would look like... and may have had to make multiple changes in
their documents before reaching the perfect effect.
It is now possible to preview the web page before publishing, thus allowing the
site visitors to navigate the site without being aware of the intermediate
stages.
The Preview
feature enables the publisher to view folder and document pages before
publishing,
even in complex environments, such as workflow areas.

The Preview Feature
The Preview feature allows the publisher to view the web page containing the document, before it is actually published in the web site. This feature is available in the openshare standard publishing environment, from the Content Editor pages, when publishing and modifying a document, and performing the check-in/out operation.
It is also possible to preview documents that are workflow controlled, at all stages of the workflow process: edit, review and approval.
Clicking
the “Preview” button of the openshare Content Editor,
opens a new window displaying the page as it will appeared when published.
The publisher can view the folder and the document page, by clicking on the
links contained in the header on top of the window, “Folder
Preview” and “Document Preview”.
